Magazine analysis

Kerrang Kerrang is a well-known magazine which is a magazine that is associated with rock music, heavy metal etc. The magazine is a very popular magazine for people aged from around 15 to 25. This is the age range mostly that Kerrang target as they are arguably the most interested in music. Kerrang has a readership of 293,000 between July and December 2013, they also claim to be the world’s biggest rock magazine. Not only do Kerrang have a magazine, they also have a radio station which seems to be very popular, from April 2014 to September 2014 they had 879,000 listeners per week, with a total of 52,000,000 listeners. As well as a radio show, they have a T.V channel which they regularly playing rock music and heavy metal music etc. Kerrang TV took off in 2001 and never looked back. Kerrang is evidently not just a magazine, with radio, television also added the magazine, they host tours throughout the UK which sees some of the most well-known rock bands performing live. Kerrang has a website which posts news about bands and upcoming events, as well as this; they have a store where Kerrang fans can buy merchandise. Kerrang is seemingly one of the biggest magazines in the UK, especially when it comes to music, they are involved in sponsors as well as all of the above, and the publisher of Kerrang is Bauer Media Group.
